What We Believe
Beautiful Vessels Housing & Family Development is a Christian-Based Nonprofit birthed from the heart of God. The Lord Jesus Christ came to create disciples that will replicate his identity and character throughout this world. He teaches us that we are to be radically different in how we view and treat our neighbors. Jesus demonstrated how to have compassion and care for those who are in need. He is not oblivious to the setbacks and hardship that many people faced during His time on earth. With arms wide-opened, He welcomed the orphans, widows, the oppressed and the poor and fed them all and gave them hope for a better future.
We at Beautiful Vessels Housing & Family Development believe that we should display such hospitality to those who are in need. We recognize that poverty, social injustice, and homelessness are inherent problems in our society; therefore, we are dedicated to solve these problems with generosity, compassion, and kindness, to all people in practical, and tangible ways that are within the context of the Bible.
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE the Bible is inspired by God; it is the infallible Word of God. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and instructions in this non-profit are based upon biblical principles and practices (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 3:16).
WE BELIEVE in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as Father, through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation (1 Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; 2 Cor. 5:19; Joel 2:28). This one true God manifested Himself in the Old Testament in divers’ ways; in the Son while He walked among men; as the Holy Spirit after the ascension.
WE BELIEVE in the Bible’s standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
WE BELIEVE that we should endeavor to keep unity and brotherly love amongst ourselves and others. As ambassadors for Christ we are commissioned to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirst, clothe the naked, visit the widows and the poor and love all our neighbors as ourselves. (St. Matthew 22:39, Romans 12:10, Ephesians 4:3 & 32, Psalm 133:1).

WE BELIEVE that everyone was made in the image of God; therefore, we are all beautiful the way God made us in our natural state. We believe that embracing our natural beauty is a sign that we accept ourselves the way God made us. “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” (Psalms 139:14, Ecclesiastes 3:11, Genesis 1:27, Psalms 50:2, 1 Peter 3:3-4).
WE BELIEVE in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ with love and compassion. He did not come into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through Him (St. John 3:7, II Corinthians 5:19). Likewise, our mission is not condemnation but reconciliation to God through love and compassion (II Corinthians 5:18-20).
WE BELIEVE that Godly living should characterize the life of every child of God, and we should live according to the pattern and example given in the Word of God. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly, in this present world” (Titus 2:11,12).
WE BELIEVE that God wonderfully foreordained and immutably created each person as either male or female in conformity with their biological sex. These two distinct yet complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26–27, Genesis 5:2).
WE BELIEVE human sexuality was given by God both as a means of human reproduction and as a means to help bond a male and a female in a one-flesh union (Genesis 2:24). God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9).
WE BELIEVE that a woman is with child at conception (Luke 1:31-36) and God is totally involved in the creation of every new life (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5). We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen; therefore, it is our responsibility to protect the rights of the unborn. (Romans 12:20-21, Galatians 6:10 Isaiah 44:24).
WE BELIEVE that attire should be modest and distinctive to one’s own sex. God requires a definite distinction between the sexes (male and female). In virtually every ethnic group there is clothing that is perceived to be feminine and clothing that is perceived to be masculine. (Deuteronomy 22:5, 1 Timothy 2:9 NIV).
WE BELIEVE that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer and sanctification, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism and helping the needy (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15).

Our Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the final source of all that we believe.
